Uganda Martyrs University 1-1 Kampala University

Robert Sentongo and Omirambe Brian scored in either half as Uganda Martyrs and Kampala University played to a 1-1 draw at the Saints grounds, Nkozi on Saturday.

Uganda Martyrs University went into the lead after 27 minutes when Robert Sentongo converted a penalty past goalkeeper, Kasumba Francis following a foul in the area.

In the 64th minute, Omirambe Brian headed home past the Saints’ Nalugoba Amir to level up for the visiting Kampala University.

The hosts continued pressing through Masudi Kafumbe, Kasozi Kennedy, and Othieno aiming at restoring their lead but Kampala was solid in defense, to defend their point gained on the road.

The result keeps Kampala University and University Martyr’s in the 3rd and 4th positions respectively in group C.

Uganda Martyrs University had lost their opening game 1-0 to Busitema while Kampala University fell to a 2-1 defeat to International University of East Africa.
