Busujju Ssaza Football team management has officially appointed Frank Mulindwa as its new head coach for the 2020 Masaza Cup tournament.
Mulindwa who handles Munta Royal College and Royal Giants High School concurrently, was confirmed by the county sieving committee.
The CAF “C” licensed tactician will work alongside another CAF “C” Licensed coach in Hussein Kato as his immediate assistant and the duo was tasked to guide the team to their first-ever championship since the tournament’s interception in 2004.
Nsubuga Habib will be the new goalkeeping coach while Tony Mutebi and Masembe Adam will serve as the new fitness coach and trainer respectively.
Busujju joins a long list of teams that have already confirmed coaches for the 2020 championship.
These include Mawokota (Richard Malinga), Busiro (Paul Kiwanuka), Bulemeezi (Simon Peter Mugerwa), Buluuli (Mugerwa Noah), Gomba (Ibrahim Kirya), Singo (Edward Golola), Butambala (Emuron Recoba), Kyaggwe (Hussein Mbalangu), Buddu (Steven Bogere) among others.
A total of 18 teams feature in the prestigious tournament whose opening and closing ceremonies are always graced by the Kabaka of Buganda.
The 15th edition of the Masaza Cup tournament is earmarked for mid-June upon lifting of the current lockdown. Bulemeezi is the reigning champion.
