Following the premature ending of the 2019/2020 Uganda Premier League season, Wakiso Giants FC will compensate their loyal fans that had bought season-long tickets.
The development that spells a sigh of relief to the fans was confirmed on the club’s official social media account.
“As we wind up the season for 2019/2020, we have been faced by a global challenge of the COVID 19 pandemic which has led to the premature ending of the league without having played all games. As a courtesy of fairness to our season ticket holders, the management has decided to compensate the two home games you have missed this season with a discount on your new season ticket for the upcoming season 2020/2021,” the statement partly read.
“As management, we shall always strive to provide the best matchday experience and hospitality for our clients and fans that attend our events,” Club CEO Sula Kamoga added.

Before the suspension of all football activities, the Purple Sharks had two home games against KCCA and Sports Club Villa that were remaining on their menu.
In the team’s maiden appearance in the 2019/20 season, Wakiso Giants fought for a stay in the top division, finishing 10th on 30 points.
