Masaza Cup defending champions Bulemeezi have welcomed three more acquisitions to their roster prior to the 2020 prestigious tournament.
The latest additions include Uganda Cubs (U-17) attacking midfielder Thomas Kakaire and Aspire Academy’s Umar Lutalo who have put pen to paper for the champions.
The strong left-footed midfielder-cum-winger Lutalo formerly played for Buddo Secondary School while Kakaire played for Kirinya Jinja SS, both in the Schools’ championships.
The duo joins a long list of already signings in midfielder Kafumbe Masuudi and striker Ezra Kizito Kaye.
Other significant acquisitions this campaign include Bernardo Kateregga (Kyaggwe), Akram Shafiq Muzanyi (Free Stars), Richard Basangwa, Ibrahim Banalya (KATIDA), Gabriel Matata (Mvara) and Suleiman Ssessaazi (Luwero United).
These replace the departing crop of players like Ronald Ssekiganda, Hamza Mulambuzi, and Emmanuel Loki.
Simon Peter Mugerwa’s side have also retained a bunch of players in the squad that featured in last year’s edition in Rogers Ssebyondwa, Henry Musisi, Simon Kato Ssemayange, Tonny Kyagaba, Godfrey Arijole, Joseph Marvin Youngman, Dirisa Masembe, Simon Katumba, John Ben Nakibingi, Daniel Erimu, and Gabriel Elagu.
The 15th edition of the Masaza Cup is slated for mid-June.
