Former Wakiso Giants Football Club coach, Kefa Kisala has been put on the shortlist of candidates that could land the Vipers Sports Club assistant coach job.

Currently, the Uganda Premier League defending champions are in search of two assistant coaches to work with Fred Kajoba as the club aims at beefing their technical team.

Kisala has been clubless since partying ways with the Purple Sharks last year in November. He has also worked with BUL FC, URA FC and Express FC.

Also, Bright Stars head coach Paul Kiwanuka and Uganda Cranes assistant coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi are other candidates in the running for the vacant role.

Of the top candidates listed, the Venoms will only confirm two that will work with Kajoba ahead of the 2020/2021 UPL season.

In the mid of the previous season, Vipers dissolved their technical team headed by Edward Golola and his assistant Richard Wasswa only to retain trainer Edward Ssali and appoint Ibrahim Mugisha as the goalkeeping coach.

Kajoba guided Vipers SC to their fourth league title despite being in charge for only eight games before the season was abruptly ended.

Going into the coming season, the Kitende based side target defending the league title and also, reach CAF Champions League group stages.
