Following their relegation to the second division after the abrupt ending of the 2019/20 Uganda Premier League season, Maroons Football Club has now kicked off preparations to regain their top flight status.
The Uganda Prisons owned outfit Maroons FC has re-appointed Pius Bamwange as their Chief Executive Officer (CEO) ahead of next season.
A source close to the team’s camp that preferred anonymity since the information is not yet officially released, told ChimpReports that Bamwange will now work with the Prison side for the next two years.
He returns to the club for the second stint having served in the same role between 2017-2018.
For the previous two seasons, he has been working with Arua based side Onduparaka Football Club before their marriage ended a month ago.
At Maroons, the former Lweza and Saints CEO replaces Shaban Odoa and will be immediately tasked to help the club get back to Uganda Premier League.
