FUFA Big League side Arua Hill Sports Club had officially unveiled former Vipers Sports Club left back Dan Birikwalira.
The diminitive player joins the Leopards as a free agent on a two years deal after his contract with the Uganda Premier League Champions expired at the end of last season.
The 24-year-old started his career at St. Mary’s SS Kitende in 2008 and later joined Rilley Packaging Mukono in 2010/11.
He also played for Kampala Junior Team (KJT) between 2011-2013 and later signed for Vipers SC in 2014 where he spent six years.
Moments after his unveiling, Birikwalira was excited and attributed his move to the strong relationship with the club CEO.
“I am happy to be here in Arua Hill SC and I am humbled for the warm welcome. My relationship with the Tony C.E.O was a big factor in my decision to join this club in the lower division,” Birikwalira noted.
He added, “Tony shared with me the ambitions and vision of the club and it was impressive. I hope to get play time and earn a national team call where I was there before. I also want to do my best to help the club achieve their dream of gaining promotion to the top tier as soon as possible.”
During his spell at Kitende, he was loaned to Bright Stars FC in 2018/19 and spent the previous 2019/2020 season on loan at Kyetume FC.
