Tooro United defender Farouk Katongole has reportedly agreed personal terms with Uganda Premier League outfit URA FC ahead of a possible move.
Katongole joined relegated side Tooro United at the start of 2019/2020 season but the towering defender has bold intentions of continuing his trade in the top flight.
The former Bright Stars backline played an integral part in Tooro United’s defense despite the team facing relegation to the second division following the abrupt end of the season due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
ChimpReports understands that Express FC were the front-runners in the race for the defender despite interest from Vipers and Sports Club Villa.
In case the deal goes through, Katongole will join Jackson Nunda, Davis Ssali and goalkeeper Hanington Sebwalunyo as other signings made by the tax Collectors.
The former Entebbe Young defender will vie for a place in the heart of URA FC defence with Hudu Mulikyi, Paul Mbowa and Benjamin Nyakoojo.
