Hours after guiding Kitara FC to next season’s Uganda Premier League, striker George Ssenkaaba has joined Express Football Club, becoming their 17th signing of the window.

Ssenkaaba joins the Red Eagles on a two-year contract, reuniting with former Coach Wasswa Bbosa.

The 26 year old has expressed his delight upon joining the Red Eagles and believes it’s a dream come true.

“I must say I’m delighted to join the Red Eagles, like all other players this is a dream come true and I can’t wait to get started,” Ssenkaaba told the club website.

Last season, Ssenkaaba scored five goals in 10 matches for newly promoted UPL side Kirara FC.

He has also previously played for defunct Saints FC, Kirinya Jinja SS (now Busoga United) and Sports Club Villa.

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bossa has described the development as impactful for a club hoping to move forward.

“Ssenkaaba posses the qualities we want in a forward, am certain he will have a positive impact for us when the season starts,” Bbosa noted.

He will fight for a starting slot with the team’s last season’s top scorer Frank Kalanda, fellow new signing Mustafa Kiragga and Erick Kambaale.
