Uganda Cranes midfielder Yassar Mugerwa could be on his way out of South African giants Orlando Pirates after it was revealed that coach Muhidin Ertugal left him out of his preseason list.

Yassar who found playtime hard to come by at the Buccaneers, was initially tipped to be sent on loan during the mid season January transfer but was later given more opportunity to prove his worth.

But things could be complicated with the arrival of Turkish coach Muhidin Ertugal who took over from Erick Tinkler after the latter failed to win any silverware with the Pirates.

“The coach has taken only the players he wants to work with next season. Mugerwa is among those left behind,” a source close to Pirates confided to kickoff.

He joined the Pirates in August 2015 for a three and a half year deal from URA FC.

The Orlando Pirates team will have their preseason training at the North West town of Potchefstroom.

The team will kick off their 2016-17 campaign on Wednesday, August 24th against Golden Arrows at home.

Other players whose future is in balance include Lehlohonolo Majoro, Felipe Ovono, Rooi Mahamutsa, Lehlohonolo Masalesa, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Sifiso Myeni.
