Former Police FC keeper Douglas Kisembo has expressed his excitement after joining Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC.
The 22- year old goalie targets a first team place against experienced Benjamin Ochan who enjoyed monopoly last season forcing out Yassin Mugabi on loan to Saints and then his exit to SC Villa
He is the fourth signing at Lugogo after the return of Vincent Kayizzi, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Brian Majwega earlier this month.
“Am excited to be joining the best team in the country, a team that has structures and am sure my game will grow here,” a joyous Kisembo remarked to the club media.
The highly talented but calm goalie was key to Police FC title campaign in the first round but his injury led the team’s collapse in the second round.
Former Cranes and KCCA legend Paul Ssali hailed Kisembo’s ability and touted him to join the national team ranks soon.
“We don’t have so many young good goalkeepers in Uganda, Kisembo is one of those few and he has room to get better and personally I believe he can even play for Uganda Cranes in the future,” Paul Ssali said.
