Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC have agreed to send Allan Kyambadde and John Ssemazi on loan to Express FC.

Ssemazi joined the Kitende side from Express FC in the beginning of the season in a deal estimated at around UgShs 13 million but has since struggled to perform as expected.

He has failed to score a competitive goal both at club and national level.

Vipers SC newly appointed head of the technical department, Haruna Kyobe said the two clubs agreed a deal with an option to recall any or both for the Caf confederations cup in case they impress in the first half of the season.

“An agreement has been reached between us and Express FC to have Kyambadde and Ssemazzi play on loan for one season,” Kyobe said.

“The pair will return to Vipers in January for the CAF Confederations Cup should they have a good loan spell at Express according to one of the clauses in their loan agreement.”

Allan Kyambadde was named 2013/14 Uganda premier league most valuable player while at Express FC before crossing over to Vipers.

The attacking midfielder rejected a similar loan move back to Express FC at the end of 2014/15 season.

Vipers promoted three players from the junior team including Bashir Mutanda, Goeffrey Wasswa and Ashraf Mandela. The team also roped in Ibrahim Kayiwa and Brian Kakaire from Express FC and Voxjo in Sweden respectively.
