
Ali Sekatawa has been unanimously re-elected the chairman of Uganda Revenue Authority football club for a second five year term.
Sekatawa easily overcame his only Challenger James Kiiza garnering 239 votes out of the total 299 votes cast.
Kiiza, who is an assistant commissioner for Information technology at the authority, picked only 44 votes to his name.
“I thank the voters for the endorsement given to me once again. I believe we shall work harder in the coming reign to make sure that we uplift the status of our club,” Sekatawa said.
The reelected chairman will take the tram for another five years until 2021. His task includes setting up an academy at and start construction of stadium at the club’s 10-acre piece in Bugema.
The elections were part of the club’s annual general meeting held at Ridah Hotel in Seeta on Saturday 23rd.
Moses Kibumba will deputise Sekatawa as Nayola Kadugu assumes the general secretary role.
Other members of the new executive are Mr. Francis Drank (Director Marketing and Communications), John Amigo (Fans Director), Geoffrey Kyondo (Technical Director) and Daniel OMara (Director Administration).
