Uganda Premier League side KCCA Football Club will play against AS Kigali from Rwanda in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Rwanda Premier League outfit set a date with KCCA FC after eliminating Botswana’s Orapa United (2-2) on away goals rule yesterday.
Despite losing 2-1 to Orapa United in the first leg away in Botswana, AS Kigali won the return leg fixture 1-0 at Nyamirambo stadium to set a date with the 13-time Uganda Premier League winners.
KCCA FC, which got a bye in the first preliminary round, will play away (between 22nd-23rd December) before hosting the return match (5th-6th January 2021) at the MTN Omondi stadium.
The aggregate winner between the two will then play one of the losing teams from the Caf Champions League second preliminary round before advancing to the group stages.
The Kasassiro Boyz will be aiming for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages for only the second time since their maiden appearance in 2017.
