- Wakiso Giants Vs Vipers SC
Vipers Sports Club start their Uganda Premier League title defense on Saturday as they visit Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakisha.
This will be Vipers’ first game of the season having missed the opening two fixtures against MYDA and Express due to their continental engagements before being eliminated by Al Hilal Omdurman in the CAF Champions League.
The Venoms’ camp is boosted by the return of striker Shaban Muhammad who has been on the sidelines since his arrival at Kitende in August last year from Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
Shaban has been nursing a knee injury that necessitated a surgery hence facing a length spell on the sidelines. This could be his first game for the title holders if given a chance to play by head coach Fred Kajoba.
Notable absentees for the home side include Umar Kyebatala (knee injury) and Allan Kayiwa (fever) while the rest of the players are available for selection.
The previous two engagements between Vipers Sports Club and Wakiso Giants saw the former register one win at home and a goalless draw goalless in the reverse fixture.

For Wakiso Giants, Pius Kaggwa and Viane Ssekajugo are available for selection after missing the two opening games against Police and Kyetume.
Joshua Lubwama is also ruled out of the tie while Ayub Kisalita remains a long term absentee for the Purple Sharks.
