Players Abroad: Wadri Strike Salvages Point for Bandari, Bwomono Grabs Assist

Ugandan born player William Wadri scored and helped his Bandari FC draw 1-1 with Zoo FC in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) over the weekend.

Rogers Aloro and Hashim Sempala featured as Tusker FC defeated Kakamega Homeboys 1-0 while Peter Lwasa helped Kariobangi Sharks to triumph 4-3 over Gormahia in the KPL.

Forward Fahad Bayo scored his third goal for Ashdod FC this season as they registered a 2-1 win over Hapoel Tel Aviv on Friday while Timothy Awany wasn’t included on the match day squad.

In England, Elvis Bwomono grabbed an assist as his side Southend United edged past Barrow 1-0 in the English League Two while striker Karl Mubiru Ikpeazu played 76 minutes as his Wycombe Wanderers side humbled Preston 4-1 to sail to the next level of the FA Cup.

Defender Bevis Mugabi played full time as Motherwell held St. Mirren 1-1 in the Scottish Premier League whilst Moses Oloya played 90 minutes as Hanoi T&T clinched the Vietnam super cup trophy with a 1-0 win over The Cong.

In India, Richard Kassaga played full time as his Aizawl FC side lost 1-0 away at Punjab in the I-league.

In South Africa, Denis Onyango kept a clean sheet as Mamelodi Sundowns saw off Baroka Swallows 2-0 while Moses Waiswa was left on the bench as his Supersport United side beat TS Galaxy 3-0.

Elsewhere, Kizito William Luwagga played full time as Hapoel Kfar Saba beat Maccabi Petach Tikva 2-0 while new signing Erisa Sekisambu made his debut as Tarxien lost 3-1 to Zejtun Corinthians in Malta.

In the Portuguese Segunda, left back Alex Kakuba was deployed in midfield as his CD Cova Piedade side lost 2-1 to Vizela whilst a muscle injury ruled Miya Farouk out of Konyaspor’s 2-1 defeat to Karagumruk.

In Zambia, goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi was an unused substitute while Paul Musamali was not included in the matchday squad as their Buildcon FC side lost 2-1 to Red Arrows.

In Burundi, defender Joseph Othieno featured in Musongati’s 2-1 win over Royal De Muramvya.

Elsewhere, midfielder Brian Allan Kizza played full time as defender Mugisha Steven was an unused substitute in Le Messanger Ngozi’s 2-2 home draw against Bujumbura C.
