Lanky forward Joel Madondo has been officially unveiled at FUFA Big League outfit Gadaffi Football Club after holding a series of trainings for one month.
The official unveiling took place on Tuesday at Bax Hotel in Jinja that had Paul Mukembo (Chief Executive Officer) and club president Edrine Ocheng all in attendance.
Madondo joins Gadaffi as a free agent having been club less since partying ways with North African giants Wydad Casablanca in Morocco.
The 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup winning striker has signed a short term deal of six months with an option to extend.
Madondo parted ways with the Botola League Pro side in July last year on account of accumulated salary arrears along with lack of enough playing time.
He was Unveiled along with goalkeeper Didi Muhammed Didi, Lawrence Kasadha, Patrick Gonahasa, Swaibu Lubega, Godwin Kawagga.
The club has also confirmed the acquisition of six players on loan in Najib Fesali and Steven Mugunchi (URA), Andrew Waiswa (UPDF), Frank Muhini (Bbosa), James Otim (BUL) and Methiodious Bassey (Admin FC).
Gadaffi Football club further unveiled CAF ‘A’ licensed tactician, Frank Ssebagala, as their head coach.
Frank replaces Michael Sebaggala who guided the team to FUFA Big League promotion last year and the latter will now serve as the club deputy coach while Salim Munoga is the fitness trainer.
