Sharing Youth 59-54 Our Saviour

It has not been rosy at all for Our Saviour basketball team in the past eight days failing to pick a win in three games.

After falling to Startimes Falcons on Sunday last week, Our Saviour were condemned to another loss against Power in midweek. The clash against lowly Sharing Youth was viewed as a game that would be used as a spring board for the Kikoni based side to bounce back to winning ways.

However, it didn’t go as planned as Sharing edged Our Saviour 59-54 in overtime on Sunday at the YMCA outdoor court.

Sharing took proceedings in the first quarter winning 13-10 before Our Saviour claimed the second quarter 24-21 and take a halftime lead. However the Nsambya based side showed resilience winning the third quarter before the game was forced into overtime with the scoreboard reading 49-49.

Our Saviour almost took it at the death with Duxx shooting two to lead 49-47  but Sharing responded in similar currency and force an overtime where they eventually won 59-54.

The loss to sharing means Our Saviour were condemned to their seventh loss this season with their record standing at 8-7.

In the other games played, Pemba Warriors defeated struggling Falcons 77-64 while UPDF Tomahawks beat Destiny Phenoms 55-48. Ndejje returned to winning ways picking up a win against bottom placed Charging Rhinos 70-57. In the women’s fixture, UCU Lady cardinals beat Magic stormers 53-48
