Fans will have free access to the preliminary matches of the upcoming 2016 CECAFA edition to be held at the Fufa technical turf in Njeru from Sunday 11th.
The news was confirmed by the chairman of the local organizing committee Mr. Rogers Byamukama on Saturday.
“We have decided as Fufa and the organizers to allow fans to enter freely and support their national team,” Byamukama said. “This is a young game for the women and we are trying in every way to make it a success.”
Byamukama also confirmed that five teams out of the seven had already arrived in the country ready for the game.
“We thank CEcAFA for giving us this opportunity to host such an event. Already five teams including Kenya, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Burundi and the hosts Uganda have reported,” he added.
The LOC chairman also revealed that Rwanda and Ethiopia had confirmed their flights and would be in the venue by close of business on Saturday.
