A day after SC Villa parting ways with their head coach Deo Sserwadda, assistant coach Shafik Bisaso who is now the acting head coach has come out to bash the reports indicating he plotted to have Sserwadda sacked so that he can take on the role.
Bisaso has stated that he had no hand in the sacking of Sserwadda since they had different terms of work in the contracts they signed.
“Our contracts are different, his (Sserwadda) was performance based which required him to win the first six games, so I think it’s what the club boss considered when relieving him of his duties,” he said
“I want to make it clear that I have no idea or any hand in Sserwadda’s sacking like the rumours are spreading, we worked together as a team but it was upon the club supremos to decide,” added Bisaso.
When quizzed about whether he is ready to take on the SC Villa head coach role if given chance, Bisaso said he was not in line to answer that.
“At the moment I have been made the acting head coach, that means maybe there is a search for a new coach but at the moment that is a question for my bosses and not me,” Bisaso told ChimpSport.
SC Villa terminated Deo Sserwadda’s two year contract after a 4-3 defeat to Onduparaka on Saturday. He was in charge at SC Villa park for two months playing seven games, winning three, drawing three and losing once.
