Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC have on Tuesday morning unveiled Hima Cement as their shirt sponsor on a two year deal.
While unveiling the shirt sponsor at Golf course Hotel in Kampala, the club president, Lawrence Mulindwa assured their sponsors of quality for their money.
“I want first to thank our new sponsors for joining us, we are a winning team that has got a huge following and I assure you that there will be value for money,” Mulindwa said.
“As the Vipers family, we need to protect this partnership, we have entered into marriage with Hima Cement and we don’t want it to last for a few days but rather be a long lasting deal,” he added.
The two year deal signed is worth six hundred thirty two million shillings (632,000,000/=).
Patrick Mugenyi, the Hima Cement marketing manager applauded Vipers for being competitive and showing a good image.
“We have been in rugby and now we have ventured into football. As a company, we have made a study and zeroed down on Vipers because of their transparency,” he said.
In another development, Mulindwa also revealed that the new club stadium that is still under construction in Kitende will be ready by January next year.
“We are working hard to make sure that the stadium is ready as soon as possible and we believe by January next year, we shall be able to host our home games in Kitende,” he said.
