Jinja Municipal Council lie bottom of the Uganda premier league table with only two points after eight outings and are hosting high flying Soana FC on Saturday in one of the games lined for match day nine.
The team lost coach James Odoch to URA FC last month and have since acquired the services of experienced Coach David Lutaalo. The soft spoken tactician received a rude welcome with a 1-0 loss to to town rivals Sadolin in his first game in charge.
Lutaalo however notes that hr was still studying the players and is now ready for a ‘new welcome’ as he faces Sam Simbwa tomorrow.
“I realized they have been scoring goals but conceding as well so my training was centered more on compatibility and team work,”Lutaalo told Chimpsport.
“Am aware we didn’t score in the first game but had also not got enough time to train with the boys. Now my assessment shows the situation has improved though there is more work to be done.”
The last time the two clubs met at Kakindu, Richard Wandyaka fired in four goals and became the only player to achieve such a fete in the whole season. The former captain has since moved to tax collectors URA FC and former Soana coach Charles Ayiekoh left for lower tier side Nyamityobora FC.
The Jinja side will miss the services of Kelvin Kato and Paul Emenyu who out due to injuries.
Soana has been on good form that has seen them perch on the fourth spot with thirteen points, six below leaders KCCA FC and two adrift of second and third placed SC Villa and Vipers respectively.
The two have met only twice in history with each winning their respective home games.
