Only two clubs have failed to win a match since the beginning of the 2016-17 season; Kirinya Jinja SSS FC and JMC Hippos FC.

The new entrants, Kirinya, are 14th on the table after accumulating only seven points from similar number of draws and four losses. They host Bright Stars on Tuesday at Bugembe.

Hosts are coming from two identical 1-0 losses away to Vipers and Police FC in the respective fixtures. They had gone three games unbeaten before that.

Center back Livingstone Mulondo is still suffering a thigh injury, Franco Onen (hamstring) while striker Joel Madondo is sitting his O-level exams.

“We have really tried but the win has been elusive because we have dominated and created most chances in almost all our games but we still hope for a better game this time round,” coach Isabirye told ChimpSport.

The stars endured a difficult period in their last outing against KCCA FC where they conceded two quick goals inside ten minutes and failed to recover despite a late surge that saw Kokas Opejo’s score a consolation.

Kajoba regretted the early mistake but promised to make amends in the Kirinya encounter.

“We never defend like that. We shall have to ask ourselves many questions when we return to training and trust my boys and I know what they are capable of doing in defence.”

The match kicks off at 4:30 PM.
