Fufa Big league
Bazaar Holdings 0-1 Masavu

Masavu head coach, Allan Kabonge was impressed with his team’s hard earned victory against Bazaar Holdings and believes it’s such results that keep their ambitions lively.

Kabonge indicated that despite the team putting up a shaky performance, all that mattered was getting maximum points.

“I must say, we did not play well against Bazaar holdings but I’m delighted that we managed to walk away with a win,” he said.

“Of course our prime target is to win promotion to the Azam Uganda Premier League and if we are to achieve that, we need to keep winning in all situations,” added the youthful tactician.

Kabonge says the win against Bazaar holdings gives them the pole position in Rwenzori group and thinks it was a big boost.

“It is a massive boost to our team now that we go top of the table after this game. This therefore puts us in prime position as we keep at fulfilling our target,” explained Kabonge.

The former Onduparaka coach confessed his team was wasteful on the day despite fielding three forwards in Solomon Wafula, Kenneth Tumusiime and Onesmus Andama.

“I’m a bit disappointed that we failed to use our chances and this kept us under immense pressure throughout the game because leading by one goal puts you at tenter hooks,” he said.

Onesmus Andama’s solitary strike from a free kick in the 82nd minute was enough for Masavu to bag three points and currently lead Rwenzori group on 17 points in eight games.
