A lot is at stake this weekend on Sunday November 13th when Woodball descends down to Sports beach in Entebbe for the final circuit of the 2016 beach Woodball circuit.
This is the last competitive event in the Woodball calendar that has seen the birth of the league.
Joel Adupa is currently on top of the men’s singles table boasting of a clear nine point difference with the defending champion Ronald Kawumba.
Actually Adupa could walk away with this season’s gong if he doesn’t lose by more than eight points.
The Zoe woodball club duo combined in the men’s doubles and are leading the race with 38 points, five ahead of Ndejje Woodball club’s Innocent Barigye and Bruno Bbosa.
Kawumba won the first circuit with 50 but slipped in the second and third falling behind his closest rival.
However, Adupa has to recover from a dismal performance at the 8th Coral Coatings Woodball Open where he finished 11th overall. About twelve teams have so far confirmed participation.
They are; Bank of Uganda, Botladz Woodball Club, Kampala International University, MUBS, Ndejje Corporate Club, Ndejje University, Ndejje Woodball Club, Reigners Woodball Club, St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi, Stroke Woodball Club, UNEB Woodball Team and Zoe Woodball Club.
