Six Teams Shift Home Base as UPL Release Second Round Fixtures

Uganda Premier League secretariat has released fixtures for the second round. The league resumes on Tuesday 7th February with seven games on cards.

Leaders KCCA FC open the year against struggling BUL FC at the Philip Omondi stadium as SC Villa make a short trip to Matugga to play Bright Stars.

Relegation threatened Kirinya Jinja SS hosts police at Kakindu, their new home. JMC Hippos will be in Lugazi against URA FC.

New Venues

Six teams have shifted their base. Kirinya Jinja SSS as earlier mentioned will move to Jinja town centre and host their games at Kakindu stadium since their old home-Bugembe stadium- has been closed for renovations.

Sadolin Paints move their home to Namboole temporarily. SC Villa, who initially occupied Namboole, will now return to their old fortress in Nakivubo. The Jogoos will share the venue with Police FC who are migrating from Kavumba.

Vipers SC will now occupy their new stadium- St Mary’s stadium, Kitende. The Saints FC Home Venue changed to Champions Stadium.

Unlike before, matches will be played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and some on Sundays.

Vipers SC vs Lweza FC – St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende

Express FC vs  The Saints FC – Wankulukuku Stadium

KCCA FC vs. BUL FC – P. Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

URA FC vs.  JMC Hippos FC – Mehta Stadium, Lugazi

Police FC vs. Sadolin Paints FC – Nakivubo Stadium

Kirinya Jinja SSS FC vs.  Soana FC – Kakindu Stadium, Jinja

Bright Stars FC vs.  SC Villa – CS Matugga

Proline FC vs.  Onduparaka FC – P. Omondi Stadium, Lugogo
