Busia United coach Bob Magero has expressed optimism that his club Busia United FC will make the playoffs cut by the end of the regular season in the 2016/17 Fufa big league.
The border side started positively at the beginning of the season and hired experienced coach Mutyaba but proceedings backfired forcing the tactician out of the team.
Busia Fisheries are currently sixth in the Elgon region with sixteen points.
“We had a good start but faltered on the way,” Magero told ChimpSport.
“Our target is to finish in the top three positions to either earn promotion or take part in the playoffs.”
The team drew blanks against contenders Ndejje University in their opening round two fixtures last week. They travel to Kampala on Thursday to face a tricky Kira UTD.
“We recruited about four players to improve our squad and are ready for the game,” he added.
The team recruited Milutin Olum and Lawrence Okello both from Lira United and recalled James Bwire and Hassan Najib back to the team.
