Uganda Cranes prodigal striker Yunus Ssentamu’s hopes of featuring in Europe for Finnish club Ilves Veikkausliiga have suddenly hit the wall due to delays in documentation.

Ilves club CEO Mr. Toni Hevonkorpi confirmed the news through the official club website while also revealing that the club had already found a replacement.

“Sentamu’s visa matters have not progressed so well. The last time we heard from him was 1.5 weeks ago,” Hevonkorpi revealed adding that, “this week Ilves acquired Nigerian Yero Bello into the ranks to replace the Ugandan.”

Our sources revealed that both Yunus Sentamu and Geoffrey Baba Kizito (headed to Helsinki) impressed the respective clubs but were however let down by visa and work permit issues.

Yunus Sentamu has been club less since parting ways with Tunisia club CS Sfaxien due to alleged contractual misunderstandings.

The former Vipers striker joined the club in January 2015 after an impressive stint with Congolese side AS Vita. He is rumoured to be heading back to Vita.
