Coach Alex Isabirye and his BUL FC side have a chance to save their season and at least finish in the top five slots in case they tame SC Victoria University on Tuesday away at Namboole stadium.
SC Victoria has dominated the self-proclaimed ‘Eastern giants’ in the league winning five and losing none of their previous eight meetings.
Joseph Othieno’s 11th minute header from Titus Lubega’s freekick separated the two sides when they met on Saturday 29th August in the first leg encounter. Othieno has since joined Simba SC while Lubega boasts of a goal at Bul since his mid-season switch.
Bul’s tactician, Isabirye was a coach at SC Victoria from mid 2012-13 season where he defeated his current masters in both legs.
Bul FC will be without star striker Milton Karisa (Ankle), David Kiiza (Hamstring), Mukisa Junior (Knee) and Hashim Sempala who went missing from camp.
“Bul have never beaten Victoria in their history but these things keep changing and records broken. This time we are facing a relegated side unlike in previous occasions. That said and done, we have to finish on a high with a performance and a win. BUL supporters have to leave with a smile on their face,” Bul FC coach Alex Isabirye said.
If selected for BUL FC, Philip Sempiira will be up against his former masters.
The Bul FC side return to action after almost three weeks of noncompetitive football that followed their 2-0 loss at home to SC Villa while their Tuesday hosts who already confirmed their demotion to Big league, have swallowed an amazing 23 goals in just the last six games.
The cooking oil money bags will remain with two more fixtures against another relegated team Maroons FC at home and a tricky away trip to Lweza who are left on the hook of survival. On the other hand Victoria play Lweza and URA before bidding farewell to the league.
