Makerere University has been banned from University Football League because of continued violence.
The league disciplinary committee has ruled that Makerere University be suspended from the University Football League with immediate effect over continued indiscipline by their fans.
The suspension comes after Makerere University fans were found guilty of causing chaos in Busitema University.
According to the report, Makerere University fans caused the abandonment of the game played on Thursday October 12, 2017 when they attacked Busitema students.
Makerere University had already qualified for the knockout stage of the University Football League but has now been suspended for the remainder of this season and the whole of next season.
The 2012 winners had topped group A and were supposed to play Gulu University in the quarterfinals but the latter have been given a bye.
The University has 48 hours to appeal the decision.
