Boxer Mulindwa Charles has vowed to down opponent, Tansala Mwesigwa in seconds when the two meet in the much anticipated fight dubbed ‘The Return of the Warriors Boxing Fight’.

Mulindwa will be hoping to defend his National title against Mwesigwa who aims at winning the belt for the first time.

During a brief press conference held at KBC Gym at Ovino Shopping Mall today, Mulindwa said that he not only expects to defend his title but also humble his opponent.

“I’m having sleepless nights making thorough preparations for this fight ahead and I’m eagerly waiting to knock out my opponent before the final round and retain my title. Actions speak louder than words and I can assure you that I will explosively destroy him on the night.”

A total of seven curtain raiser fights (Undercards) have been lined up, including the return of former National Boxing Team fighter, Fred Muhumuza who returns from the sabbatical.

Step by Step promotions Chairman, Eddy Gombya has urged all boxing lovers to attend in big numbers and cheer on the fighters in a bid to Forster the growth of the sport.

“We have decided to stage this fight in the middle of the town to ease people’s access to the venue. It will be a Sunday where spectators will be on a weekend.”

The main fight between Mulindwa and Mwesigwa is listed ten rounds of action.

Muhummuza Fred, Muhammad Ali, Nsubuga (Police BC), Khalifan are among the other fighters featuring in the curtain raisers.
