FUFA Big League outfit Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) Football Club has signed four former Proline Football Club players, ChimpReports can reveal.
The former players that have signed for the Bombo based side include right back James Begesa, Simon Mbaziira, midfielder Ibrahim Wamannah and defender Ronnie Kisekka.
Both Mbaziira and Kisekka have been free agents since partying ways with the Uganda Cup holders while Wammanah and Begesa were part of the Proline FC’s unsuccessful 2019/20 UPL season before the club was relegated.
Mbaziira and Kisekka will now reunite with tactician Steven Bogere having worked together at Proline FC.
Last season, UPDF FC finished the FUFA Big League on top of the Rwenzori group with 23 points from 11 games before the league was prematurely ended due to Covid-19 pandemic.
