Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) Football Club has appointed former Proline FC defender Sakka Mpiima as it’s assistant coach, ChimpReports can confirm.
Mpiima’s arrival at the FUFA Big League club implies that he will be an immediate assistant to former Uganda Cranes player Steven Bogere.
The former Proline defender holds vast coaching experience having previously coached Dynamic SS and Masaza Cup entities Mawokota and Kyagwe.
His addition to the team’s technical team comes just hours after the club signed four former Proline players in James Begesa, Ronald Kisekka, Ibrahim Wamannah and Simon Mbaziira.
Last season, UPDF FC finished the Big League season on top of the Rwenzori group with 23 points from 11 games before the league was prematurely ended due to Covid-19 pandemic.
