KCCA FC and Vipers Sports Club transfer target Yusuf Ssozi has extended his stay at Police Football Club for the next two years.
Ssozi joined Police FC from Paidha Black Angels and his contract renewal with Abdallah Mubiru charges is a huge boost in the team’s midfield that also has been recently revitalized by Tony Mawejje’s rivals.
“Yousuf Sozzi has renewed his contract with us for the next 2 years. Thank you for your loyalty to Police Football Club,” the club confirmed the development via their Twitter handle.
The midfield maestro who had limited playing time last season due to injuries has previously featured for Lweza FC, Nairobi City Stars and Kalulushi Modern Stars.
The Cops recently signed left back Eric Ssenjobe (KCCA FC), teenage defender Hassan Mahmood (Onduparaka), and experienced midfielder Mawejje.
However, Police has lost their squad engine in winger Pius Kaggwa who was previously unveiled at Wakiso Giants Football Club.
Last season, Police FC finished in the 13th with 25 points before the abrupt end of the league due to the Coronavirus disease.
