Uganda Cranes lanky forward Derrick Nsibambi has reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus according to an Egyptian sports journalist Nuuhu Adams.
After a mass testing held ahead of the long awaited Egyptian Premier League 2019/2020 season, Nsibambi was among the two reported cases by his club Smouha SC.
His teammate Koffi Mohammed who was in contact with some Zamalek SC players after their friendly match on Sunday also tested positive. The club is however yet to make an official statement concerning the matter.
The former KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes forward Nsibambi joined Pyramids FC in January this year.
All clubs featuring in the Egypt Premier league are required to run three rounds of PCR tests ahead of the league resumption earmarked for 6th August, 2020.
Reports indicate that another Egyptian side in Entag El-Harby FC have also found 18 positive coronavirus cases.
All the confirmed cases will be required to get into self isolation for about 14 days before another PCR test.
