The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed technical personnel for Uganda Cubs (U17) and Uganda Hippos (U20) national teams on a six months contracts.
The timely appointments come at a time when the two teams are set to take part in the AFCON Zonal Qualifiers for the CECAFA Region slated for November and December this year.
KCCA FC assistant coach, Morley Byekwaso has been appointed as the U-20 National team coach.
He will be deputized by former Uganda Cranes defender, Simeon Masaba as his assistant coach who will also double as the fitness coach.
URA FC’s Stephen Billy Kiggundu is the goalkeeping Coach and Micheal Lule will take the Team Physician role.
The Uganda Cubs (U-17) National team will be handled by Hamzah Lutalo (Head Coach) who will work closely with Mbarara City tactician Brian Ssenyondo as his assistant.

BUL FC’s tactician, Arthur Kyesimira is the team’s fitness coach while Kiberu Mubarak will handle the goalkeepers as Mable Kabatalindwa assumes team physician role.
The CECAFA (Central East Zone Qualifiers) will determine the teams that will make it to the AFCON U20 and AFCON U17 finals in Mauritania and Morocco respectively.
Uganda U20 was drawn in group B alongside Burundi, Eritrea and South Sudan. The Regional Qualifiers will be held in Tanzania from 22nd November to 6th December, 2020.
The U17 side will take on Ethiopia and Kenya in Group B in a tournament hosted by Rwanda from 13th to 28th December 2020.
